The Appalachian Basin is bursting with new drilling and production activity, and EQT Production is at the center of it all. With more than 3.4 million acres, nearly 14,000 gross productive wells, and 4.1 trillion cubic feet of proven natural gas reserves, EQT is Appalachia’s largest exploration and production company, developing and implementing advanced drilling technology to tap into unconventional reservoirs.
EQT Midstream is seizing opportunities created by the Appalachian Basin’s burgeoning production of natural gas and other energy products. With more than 11,000 miles of gathering and transmission pipeline and 63 Bcf of storage capacity, EQT is developing and operating the infrastructure needed to move natural gas from Appalachian drill sites to city gates across the Northeast. In fact, in 2009, EQT Midstream gathered natural gas volumes totaling more than 161,000 BBtus.
For us at EQT, it isn’t enough to find and extract natural gas. EQT Energy, which is part of the Midstream segment, works to optimize the portfolio of EQT Corporation's assets from physical production through gathering assets and contractual pipeline assets.
